Paxafe joins the portfolio
PAXAFE is building the decision intelligence layer for cold chain logistics, starting with an AI-powered risk management platform.
We are excited to announce that PAXAFE has joined the portfolio, closing a US$9 million Series A financing round led by FRAMEWORK, with new participation from M12 (Microsoft's Venture Fund), Rosecliff Ventures, Elevate Ventures, AngelList Quant Fund, Gaingels, Mana Ventures, and existing investors Ubiquity Ventures and Venture53.
Based in Indianapolis, and led by co-founder and CEO Ilya Preston alongside co-founder Ashok Seetharam, PAXAFE is an AI-powered decision intelligence platform that modernizes risk management and operational workflows for cold chain shippers, carriers, and logistics service providers.
Shippers of temperature-sensitive goods across pharmaceuticals, life sciences, food and beverage, and perishables are navigating mounting product loss, growing supply chain complexity, and an overwhelming influx of IoT and sensor data, all of which are increasing the burden on quality, transportation, and logistics teams to properly manage shipments and lanes. Despite a decade of IoT adoption, the industry still loses over $40 billion annually in pharmaceutical products and over $800 billion in food due to temperature excursions and supply chain failures.
PAXAFE has built a data-agnostic SaaS platform, CONTXT, leveraging its proprietary ATHENA LLM that translates network and shipment data into proactive, prescriptive recommendations. The platform consolidates passive, active IoT, ELD, and carrier milestone data into a single control tower, quantifies lane and shipment risk, predicts on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance, and automates intervention workflows. CONTXT can be configured to a shipper's standard operating procedures and integrates with existing visibility and logistics systems.
