Shipin joins the portfolio
ShipIn is building the system of execution for maritime operations, starting with an AI-powered fleet intelligence platform.
We are excited to announce that ShipIn has joined the portfolio, closing a financing round led by FRAMEWORK, with participation from existing investors.
Based in Newton, MA and co-founded in 2019 by Osher Perry (CEO), ShipIn is the world's first Visual Fleet Management Platform, unlocking ship-to-shore collaboration for global maritime fleets with AI and visual analytics.
The maritime industry moves more than 90% of the world's goods and energy, accounting for over US$14 trillion in global trade. Yet once ships leave port, owners and managers have historically relied on a single daily report of onboard activity, and high-profile incidents such as the Ever Given grounding and the Felicity Ace fire have pushed shipping leaders to demand far better visibility into what happens at sea.
ShipIn has built a platform that deploys AI-powered cameras and real-time visual analytics to detect events onboard as they happen. Its FleetVision™ platform alerts crews at sea and teams ashore to safety by pointing out security hazards, operational anomalies, and machinery concerns. The technology also supports real-time notifications, vessel performance benchmarking, and remote audits. The platform also creates an objective record of every event onboard, making maritime insurance claims easier to process.
The platform helps fleet operators reduce incidents and insurance claims, improve safety performance, improve operational consistency, and scale their fleets through automation and real-time insights.
We are excited to be partnering with Osher and the entire team at ShipIn as they modernize maritime operations across the global fleet.
